Wallcur Practi-Variety Pack™ includes the most commonly ordered insulins. Each Variety Pack contains a total of 40 individual 10 mL vials. 10 vials are labeled Practi-Regular Insulin™, 10 vials are labeled Practi-NPH Insulin™, 10 vials are labeled Practi-70/30™ and 10 vials are labeled Practi-Lantuz™.
Every label is designed to look identical to the actual insulin it is simulating.
Student practice includes:
- Identification and understanding of two of the most commonly used insulins
- Reading and interpreting specific insulin labels
- Learning the techniques for mixing short and long acting insulins
- Calculating insulin dosages
- Use of the U-100 insulin syringe
- Administration of dosages using aseptic technique
